(Beware... Some sellers claim their used tubes are new, these actually are BRAND NEW NEVER USED)

New 1-1/2" Hamamatsu R9420 Photomultiplier Tube. Great for building scintillation detectors, gamma spectroscopy quality detectors, Gamma Camera replacement, etc. The circuit board on the -20 tube was designed for GE/Gamma Camera use, however it is easily modified for more common applications. I include complete and illustrated instructions for modifying the existing circuit board, or simply clipping and adding a voltage divider to the PMT leads. (See my other listings for this nice PMT already modified).

The Hamamatsu R9420 PMT normally retails for hundreds of dollars, and very difficult to find new at this price. Get these now for a fraction of the new retail price. Please inquire about bulk quantity of this nice PMT.

Included with this listing is one PMT, Datasheet & Modification Instructions.

Please check my other listings for this nice PMT available with a voltage divider wiring kit, or with an already modified voltage divider.

130 MegOhm (for Theremino type low power and other battery operated devices).

62 MegOhm (good general use, and works well with most Ludlum survey meters).

23 MegOhm (great for use with the GS-USB-PRO from GammaSpectacular).

12 MegOhm (recommended for use with lab quality power supplies).
