Product Description

The MURRAY 7012122yp is a clutch spring designed as a direct OEM replacement component for Murray lawn and garden equipment. Clutch springs maintain tension in the clutch engagement system, allowing the operator to reliably engage and disengage drive functions such as blade engagement or ground drive. This type of spring is a wear item subject to fatigue and deformation over time, making it a routine service replacement. Installation is typically performed by small-engine equipment technicians or experienced equipment owners during drivetrain service or clutch system repair.

This clutch spring is used in Murray-branded lawn and garden equipment where a clutch engagement mechanism is present. Common applications include walk-behind mowers and riding mowers that use a mechanical or electric clutch system to engage cutting decks or wheel drive. The spring restores proper clutch operation when the original has lost tension, become distorted, or broken during normal service life.
