Product Description

The CRAFTSMAN 791-682039 is a fuel line and filter assembly designed for small engine applications. This component delivers clean, filtered fuel from the tank to the carburetor, protecting the engine from debris and particulates that cause premature wear and carburetor fouling. Fuel line degradation is a common cause of hard starting, rough running, and fuel leaks in outdoor power equipment. Replacing a cracked or brittle fuel line along with a fresh filter restores proper fuel delivery and protects downstream engine components. Installation is typically performed by small engine technicians or experienced equipment operators.

This fuel line and filter is suited for CRAFTSMAN lawn and garden equipment, including walk-behind mowers, riding mowers, and other small engine powered outdoor tools in the CRAFTSMAN product lineup. It is intended as a direct OEM-style replacement part to restore factory-specified fuel delivery performance in equipment that has experienced fuel line wear, cracking, or clogging due to ethanol-blended fuel degradation or age.

Installation Notes

Fuel system service should be performed by a qualified small engine technician in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. Before beginning, shut off the fuel valve if equipped, drain residual fuel from the line, and disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting. Use appropriate fuel-safe clamps and ensure all fittings are seated securely before returning the equipment to service. Dispose of old fuel and saturated rags in accordance with local regulations.
