Product Description

The WHIRLPOOL w11039089 is a genuine OEM knob assembly designed to restore proper control operation on Whirlpool appliances. Knob assemblies are user-interface components that translate manual input into function commands for the appliance. When a knob cracks, strips, or becomes loose on its shaft, control becomes unreliable and the part requires replacement. This is a direct OEM replacement sourced from Whirlpool, ensuring correct fit and function without modification.

This knob assembly is intended for use during service and repair of Whirlpool appliances. It is a common replacement item when the existing knob shows physical damage, slippage on the shaft, or loss of detent feedback. Installation is straightforward and does not typically require special tools, making it suitable for appliance technicians and experienced DIY repair on Whirlpool units.

Installation Notes

Appliance technicians or qualified DIY repair persons typically perform this replacement. Disconnect power to the appliance at the circuit breaker or by unplugging the unit before removing or installing any knob assembly. Most knob assemblies pull directly off the control shaft and press back into place, but consult the appliance service manual for model-specific guidance. Do not force the knob onto the shaft, as this can damage the shaft or the knob insert.
