Product Description

The AQUASOL awsg-250 is a liquid adhesive supplied in a 250 mL bottle, designed for use in welding preparation and purge dam applications. Marketed under the Liquifilm product line, this adhesive is formulated to bond water-soluble purge dam materials used during pipe welding operations. Licensed welders, pipefitters, and fabricators typically apply this product as part of a back-purge setup before TIG or orbital welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, or exotic alloy pipe. The liquid format allows for controlled application directly from the bottle, reducing waste and improving dam placement accuracy in tight pipe bore configurations.

The awsg-250 is suited for use in industrial, commercial, and mechanical contractor environments where weld purging is required to maintain root pass quality and meet weld procedure specifications. It is commonly used in conjunction with water-soluble backing tape, purge film, or dam paper to create sealed purge zones inside pipe sections prior to welding. The 250 mL bottle size is practical for job-site use and shop fabrication settings alike.
