Product Description

The ABB 54260 is a 2-hole copper compression lug rated for 2/0 AWG conductors, designed for use in electrical distribution, grounding, and termination applications. Finished in black, this lug provides a secure, low-resistance connection between heavy-gauge copper conductors and bus bars, terminal blocks, or equipment studs. Copper construction ensures excellent conductivity and resistance to corrosion over the service life of the installation. Electricians rely on this type of lug in panel boards, switchgear, motor control centers, and industrial enclosures where a reliable, mechanically sound termination is required.

The 54260 is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where 2/0 AWG copper conductors must be terminated with a two-hole mechanical connection. Typical applications include service entrance terminations, grounding electrode connections, and equipment bonding in both new construction and retrofit projects. The two-hole mounting pattern distributes clamping force and reduces the chance of the lug rotating under load, which is especially important in high-vibration environments.

Key Features

Copper construction for high conductivity and long-term corrosion resistance
Rated for 2/0 AWG conductors
Two-hole mounting pattern resists rotation and provides a secure mechanical termination
Black finish for identification or aesthetic consistency in panel layouts
Compatible with standard compression tooling used for copper lugs

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style copper compression lug for use with 2/0 AWG conductors in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical termination applications.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before installing or removing any lug. Use a calibrated compression tool appropriate for 2/0 AWG copper lugs to achieve a proper crimp. Verify that the mounting hardware torque meets the equipment manufacturer's stud or busbar specifications before returning the circuit to service.
