Product Description

The STERLING 55wj-8al is a left-hand end cap designed for use with the Sterling Kompak hydronic baseboard heating system. Finished in classic white, this end cap measures 4.5 inches and provides a clean, finished termination on the left side of a Kompak baseboard enclosure. The radius-formed profile follows the sleek, flowing lines of the Kompak enclosure, creating a seamless visual transition at the end of a baseboard run. Hydronic heating installers and plumbers working on residential hot-water baseboard systems will find this a direct-fit component for completing or repairing Kompak installations.

This end cap is suited for residential hydronic baseboard heating applications where the Kompak low-height enclosure is already installed or being newly fitted. The Kompak series is designed for spaces where wall height is limited, making this end cap a common part in retrofit and new-construction residential projects alike. It is a finishing component and does not contain a heating element, fin tube assembly, or damper mechanism.

Installation Notes

Installation of hydronic baseboard end caps is typically performed by a licensed plumber or heating contractor. Before servicing or replacing any baseboard component, shut off the hydronic heating system and allow it to cool to relieve pressure in the piping circuit. No sheet metal screws are required for standard Kompak bracket assembly, but confirm the enclosure is fully seated and square before securing the end cap. Local mechanical codes may apply to hydronic heating system work.
