Product Description

The BRIGGS STRATTON 798462 is a crankcase gasket designed to seal the crankcase assembly on small gasoline engines. This gasket maintains an airtight and oil-tight barrier between crankcase mating surfaces, preventing oil leaks and maintaining proper crankcase pressure. It is a direct OEM replacement part suited for use on Briggs and Stratton small engines commonly found in lawn and garden power equipment. Licensed small engine technicians and experienced service professionals install this part during crankcase disassembly, bottom-end rebuilds, or anytime the existing gasket shows signs of deterioration, compression failure, or oil seepage at the crankcase seam.

This crankcase gasket is used in residential lawn and garden applications where Briggs and Stratton small engines power equipment such as walk-behind lawn mowers, riding mowers, and similar outdoor power tools. It is typically replaced during engine teardown procedures that involve separating the crankcase halves, such as connecting rod service, crankshaft inspection, or seal replacement. The part is intended for installation by small engine technicians familiar with crankcase assembly procedures and torque sequencing.
