Product Description

The BRIGGS STRATTON 791405 is a main jet designed for use in small engine carburetors. The main jet is a precision-drilled orifice component that meters fuel flow into the carburetor's main circuit, directly affecting the air-fuel mixture at mid to full throttle. This part is an OEM-specification replacement for small gasoline engines commonly found in outdoor power equipment. Installation is typically performed by small engine technicians or experienced equipment service professionals.

The 791405 main jet fits carburetors on small four-stroke gasoline engines used in lawn and garden equipment. Typical applications include walk-behind lawn mowers, riding mowers, and other outdoor power equipment powered by BRIGGS STRATTON engines. A worn, clogged, or damaged main jet is a common cause of rich or lean running conditions, poor performance at higher throttle positions, and hard starting.

Key Features

OEM-specification main jet for precise fuel metering in the carburetor's main circuit
Direct replacement component for restoring proper air-fuel mixture and engine performance
Designed to address rich or lean conditions, hesitation, and fuel delivery issues
Manufactured to BRIGGS STRATTON OEM standards for correct orifice sizing and fitment

Installation Notes

Main jet replacement should be performed by a qualified small engine technician. Before servicing the carburetor, shut off the fuel supply valve and allow the engine to cool completely. Remove accumulated fuel from the float bowl before extracting the main jet to avoid spills. Use the correct jet removal tool or flat-blade screwdriver sized to the jet slot to prevent damage to the soft brass orifice body.
