Product Description

The SHARKBITE LF902 is a 3/8-inch push-to-connect ball valve designed for quick, tool-free shutoff on residential and light commercial plumbing systems. It uses the SharkBite push-fit connection standard, allowing it to seat onto copper, CPVC, or PEX tubing without soldering, crimping, or threading. The valve body is lead-free compliant, making it suitable for potable water applications. A quarter-turn handle provides fast open and close operation, which is useful during service calls when isolating a fixture or appliance quickly matters.

This valve is well suited for residential water supply lines where a compact inline shutoff is needed at 3/8-inch pipe size. Typical install scenarios include under-sink fixture supply shutoffs, appliance connections, and retrofit situations where cutting into an existing line and adding a service valve is required without draining the full system. Its push-fit design makes it a go-to option for plumbers looking to reduce labor time on straightforward isolation valve installations.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified tradespeople in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Before installing, shut off the upstream water supply and relieve pressure from the line. Ensure the pipe end is cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before the push-fit connection is considered complete. Do not exceed the rated working pressure or temperature for push-to-connect fittings of this type.
