Product Description

The OATEY 530-11911 is a thermoplastic roof flashing designed to create a watertight seal around plumbing vent pipe penetrations through roofing surfaces. Constructed from rigid black thermoplastic, it resists fading and cracking over time without requiring caulk or additional sealants. The no-caulk design slips directly over the vent stack and automatically adjusts to both the pipe diameter and the roof pitch, reducing installation time and eliminating the need for custom fitting. Licensed plumbers and roofing contractors install this flashing in both residential and commercial applications where a durable, low-maintenance vent pipe seal is required.

This flashing is suited for 4-inch plumbing vent stacks penetrating sloped or low-slope roofs in residential and commercial construction. It is appropriate for new construction as well as retrofit installations where existing flashing has failed or deteriorated. The self-adjusting design accommodates variation in roof angle, making it a practical choice across a range of roof slopes without requiring separate sizing or shimming.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified roofing contractor in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC and local building requirements. Shut off any active water supply and ensure the work area on the roof is safe and stable before beginning. Slide the flashing over the vent pipe from above and seat it flush against the roofing surface, integrating it with surrounding roofing materials to prevent water infiltration.
