Schneider LAD4RC3G

Key Specifications

Product Type: Suppressor module (RC circuit) for coil circuits.
Application: Designed for use with the TeSys D series contactors, specifically 3-pole LC1D40A…D80A and 4-pole LC1DT60A…DT80A.
Control circuit voltage (Uc): 50 … 127 V AC (50/60 Hz)
Maximum peak voltage allowed: up to 3 × Uc (i.e., up to ~3 × control voltage)
Number of poles: 3 or 4 poles supported.
Mounting: Clip-on front mounting on the contactor (so contactor overall size remains unchanged)
Ambient operating temperature: -25 °C to +55 °C (-13 °F to 131 °F)
Ambient storage temperature: -40 °C to +80 °C (-40 °F to 176 °F)
IP protection degree: IP2X according to IEC 60529.
Weight: Approx. 0.02 kg (0.04 lb)
Color: Dark grey
Compliance / Standards: IEC 60947-5-1 / EN 60947-5-1 / UL/CSA C22.2 No. 60947-5-1 / GB/T 14048.5

Use & context

This module protects the coil/control circuit of a contactor from high-frequency interference and voltage transients by using an RC suppression circuit. Its purpose is to limit the transient (spike) to 3 × the control voltage (Uc) maximum, thereby reducing stress on coils and adjacent electronics.
It is mounted directly on the front of the compatible contactor, preserving the contactor's footprint. This makes retrofits and upgrades easier.

Things to verify or note

Ensure your contactor model is within the supported range (LC1D40A to D80A or LC1DT60A to DT80A) for proper compatibility.
The control circuit voltage must be within the 50–127 V AC range. Using outside this range may invalidate protection or functionality.
Check the mounting orientation and clip-on compatibility with your existing contactor.
Confirm ambient temperature environment is within specified range (-25 to +55 °C) for safe operation.
The suppression module doesn’t change the size of the contactor (important for panel design).
