Long Formal Version

Keithley 2700 Integra Series Multimeter / Data Acquisition & Switch System

The Keithley 2700 is a popular compact half-rack data acquisition mainframe integrating a high-performance 6.5-digit digital multimeter, relay scanner and data logging function. It belongs to the classic Integra family and is widely used in lab and production multi-channel measurement. It has two rear slots for Keithley 7700-series plug-in modules, including multiplexers, matrix, high-speed and temperature modules. Fully configured, it supports up to 80 differential scanning channels. It supports 14 measurement functions: DCV, True-RMS ACV, DC/AC current, 2-wire and 4-wire resistance, frequency, period, diode, continuity, and temperature measurement for thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors.

Notable features include open-lead detection to avoid invalid readings from loose wiring, battery-backed non-volatile memory to resume scans after power interruption, and a channel monitor function that watches a selected channel without stopping the running scan. Standard communication ports are GPIB and RS-232, plus digital I/O for triggering and interlock. It follows SCPI command set, compatible with LabVIEW and Keithley software for automated test setup. Common applications: thermal cycling testing, HALT/HASS reliability test, battery testing, environmental chamber monitoring, component quality inspection and multi-point temperature survey.
