Viavi OneAdvisor 1000 Portable Optical Network Tester:

The VIAVI OneAdvisor 1000 is a portable network testing platform designed for installing, verifying, and maintaining high-capacity connections. Used by network technicians and engineers, it helps assess services in data centers, metro networks, core networks, and business networks. With the appropriate test module and software options, the platform supports testing at speeds up to 400 Gigabit Ethernet.

For optical Ethernet work, the OneAdvisor 1000 can check transceivers, generate and analyze test traffic, measure errors, and help locate the cause of a connection problem. Guided tests such as RFC 2544 and Y.1564 help technicians confirm that a newly installed service meets its performance requirements and produce results they can document for the customer.

The OneAdvisor 1000 uses a modular design, allowing its capabilities to be matched to the job. A 400G transport module, such as the TM400GA, provides high-speed network testing, while compatible fiber modules can add functions such as OTDR testing or wavelength analysis. This makes the platform useful across different stages of network deployment, from checking the fiber to verifying the service carried over it.

Features:

Network testing up to 400 Gigabit Ethernet with a compatible 400G module such as the TM400GA.
Optical transceiver testing for supported QSFP and SFP modules.
Traffic generation, loopback, and bit error testing to verify connections.
RFC 2544 and Y.1564 service tests for checking network performance during activation.
PAM4 and forward error correction testing for 400G links.
Guided workflows and pass/fail results to help technicians run and document tests consistently.
Optional fiber testing modules, including OTDR and wavelength analysis tools.
A large touch screen for setup and reviewing results in the field.

Viavi TM400GA 400G:

The VIAVI TM400GA is a 400G transport test module that fits into the OneAdvisor 1000 platform. Together, they let technicians test high-speed optical network connections up to 400 Gigabit Ethernet.

It is used to check optical transceivers, generate and analyze network traffic, measure errors, and verify a new connection before it goes into service.
